What is the Ride to Defeat ALS?
The ALS Association Florida Chapter’s Ride to Defeat ALS is a fundraising community event that creates the hope and action needed to conquer Lou Gehrig’s Disease. We offer three cycling routes: 62 miles, 25 miles, and 10 miles along the West Orange Trail. The events are followed by lunch and celebration. It is sure to be a fantastic day to honor and remember our loved ones who have bravely battled Lou Gehrig’s Disease, and to rally together to create a world without ALS.
Riders enjoy breakfast, an awesome after party with a delicious lunch, fully-stocked rest stops every 4–10 miles (with restrooms, first aid and bike repair), support vehicles ready to provide a lift, ride marshals along the route, a finish line celebration with entertainment, and fundraising awards and prizes. Participants have the ability to earn cool ride gear, such as a customized Ride to Defeat ALS cycling jersey, based on their fundraising efforts. Register as an individual, form a team or join us as a virtual rider.
